Seniors
Coaches report
Coming off a win we took on East Ringwood away.
We lost a couple of senior guys from last weeks win which didn’t help. Our effort wasn’t as consistent or as strong as the previous week.
There were definitely some good patches – in particular the second quarter and also the boys did battle it out to the end.
We were overwhelmed by a high quality team who showed why they sit second on the ladder.
Our better players –
Josh Tovey was outstanding with 32 possessions. His contested marking was exceptional.
Connor Smith was great with a mix of midfield and back time and Jackson Winter’s courage down back and ball winning was a feature.
De Koning had a defensive forward role and executed it well and Flynn Cocking stuck to his task well.
However, overall we didn’t have enough good contributors and too many that didn’t contribute a lot. With a young group inconsistency is to be expected but we also need to demand better than the effort that was produced this week.
